Andrew and Mike met by pure chance after joining their local fire and rescue department in 2018. Fast-forward to the tail end of COVID, and the two dive buddies decided to get Open Water Scuba certified as a way to kill time. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Before long, they were stacking certifications and pushing their limits—diving everything from the crystal-clear, warm waters of the Bahamas with 100-foot visibility to plunging beneath thick sheets of ice, and even braving near blackout conditions in muddy holes where “visibility” is more of a suggestion.
